Details

Today’s Flower Street Lofts building was first the old United Parcels Service (UPS), built in 1936. It has served Downtown Los Angeles and surrounding neighborhoods for over forty years. Initially only three stories high (Flower Street Lofts features a fourth-floor penthouse level constructed on top of the existing three-story structure), the building was the primary distribution source for all packages coming into Los Angeles and the garage for their famous brown trucks. Throughout its early beginnings, the facility housed the executive offices for UPS’ West Coast Division and its central accounting department headquarters. Flower Street Lofts, which opened in the fall of 2003, features 91 lofts with over 12 distinct floor plans, ranging from 1,188 sqft to 2,600 sqft, as well as the tallest residential ceiling heights in DTLA (from 14′ up to 24′ high). Natural light shines through the expansive windows, reflecting one of the key design features of the original UPS building. With views East, West, and North, each unit is equipped with gourmet kitchens, stone countertops, well-appointed bathrooms, and state-of-the-art wiring for high-speed internet access.
