SafeCity Connect Social District
SafeCity Connect is a collaborative public safety initiative designed to help create a safer, more connected Social District. Through partnerships with local property owners and businesses, the program brings together existing private security cameras that capture activity within public rights-of-way, creating a broader view of what’s happening across the neighborhood.
Using advanced network video technology, participating camera feeds are integrated into a centralized platform, giving the Social District BID greater visibility into public spaces and helping support efforts to address safety concerns and incidents throughout the district.
By building a connected network of cameras across the Social District, SafeCity Connect strengthens coordination between the public and private sectors while making relevant footage more accessible when needed. The program provides an additional tool for monitoring public spaces, responding to neighborhood safety concerns, and supporting requests for footage related to incidents within the district.
