My husband and I started Audiograph Beer together, it was his dream to open a brewery. It’s been four years since we first opened our doors in The Social District.
Los Angeles has many diverse neighborhoods, and you’ve chosen to invest here. Why The Social District?
The Social District was attractive as it was a residential community, compared to other areas of downtown LA. Being across from the USC tower and the businesses around us it was a central location. The Social District is an up and coming neighborhood where we saw the perfect opportunity to add to the vibrancy of The Social District.
When you’re not working, what do you love to do in The Social District?
I enjoy spending time at the farmers’ market and enjoying the local coffee shops. Pine & Crane and Cow Cafe are my to-go spots in The Social District.
Looking ahead, what is your vision for the future of The Social District in the next 5-10 years? What are your hopes and aspirations for the community?
I see The Social District continuing to be a growing residential community. With the LA Convention Center expansion, I believe that local businesses will benefit from all the new conventions in the neighborhood that bring in visitors and tourists visiting from around the world.
How are you a part of shaping the future of The Social District?
I believe Audiograph Beer is the place where locals and tourists can connect, and learn about the craft of brewing beer. Our business is a safe place where people can come solo and make new friends at the bar, it’s a warm and friendly place for people to hang out at. Audiograph Beer’s staff know everyone by name and that makes a difference to people who want to have an authentic experience in The Social District.
The Social District hosts a lot of events, from awards shows to sporting events to concerts. What’s an event you’d want front row seats to attend and where in The Social District would you go before or after the big event?
A Kings Game! After I’d go to Level 8, Sinners y Santos for drinks and then Brown Sheep Taqueria for tacos.
